Cuenca Sights

Of all the cities we visited, Cuenca was our absolute favorite.  Quito nor Guayaquil suited us as well as Cuenca did.  My heart grew heavy when it was time for us to leave Cuenca in order to join up with our tour group in Quito.  But when we returned to Cuenca with our tour group for a one day stay, I felt like I was coming home.  We absolutely fell in love with the city of Cuenca.  And from the pictures, you'll see why.

This is the Tomebamba River, one of four that flow through the city.  This one was right outside of our hostal.

This is a street view of the cafe at our hostal.

If you think watching the river flow everyday was relaxing, you should hear the river flow everyday.
AWESOME!

There were beautiful flowers all over the city of Cuenca.

I just loved the windows on this building.

A Korean movie poster I found on display in an art gallery.

A street performer named Carolina in Cuenca.

Loved the architecture of this building!

Views from the patio of our hostal.
I can't tell you how many hours I spent on this patio just thinking.

Banco Pichincha was our landmark so we wouldn't get lost.

Us in the plaza after eating lunch at Ramypampa's.

Even the rain was beautiful!

We saw some of the most amazing sky scenes ever in Cuenca.

Playing down by the Tomebamba River.
